Join us in Brisbane at the AANZGOSA Annual Scientific Meeting 2025
On behalf of the Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand Gastric & Oesophageal Surgery Association (AANZGOSA), we excitingly welcome you to our 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on 17 September 2025.
Set against the beautiful Brisbane backdrop, the Annual Scientific Meeting is the premier event for our bi-national society. Our meeting this year is a much-anticipated event and comes with many first. Built around the concept of ‘A Gut Instinct – Better together’, our meeting will draw upon local and international experts, from surgery, medicine and integrated health, focussing on diseases of the stomach and foregut.
We have planned an action-packed program with breadth and depth, appealing to a wide audience. There will be parallel sessions covering the latest in the multidisciplinary treatment of gastroesophageal cancer, nutritional and physical prehabilitation as well as cancer survivorship care. We will also discuss the current and future of bariatric surgery, and together, we will explore exciting avenues in managing benign foregut conditions.
You may have already realized that this year’s meeting will be held immediately before the ISDE World Congress for Oesophageal Diseases, at the same venue. Our programs are designed to be synergistic, recognising that delegates who deal with oesophageal conditions also manage gastric and small bowel disorders.
So, what are you waiting for! Come and join us in Brisbane on 17 September.
Go with your Gut Instincts, we are Better Together.
With open arms, yours sincerely,
Conference Convenors
A/Prof David Liu, Dr David Mitchell, Dr Lisa Murnane, Ms Kelli Edmiston, and Ms Anna Hutton
